Claire Rush is a member of the firm. Ms. Rush received her B.A. in Political Science from Trinity College in Hartford, CT in 1980 and her J.D. from New York Law School in 1983, where she was a member of the International Law Journal. She is admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of New York.
Ms. Rush specializes in the trial of high exposure personal injury actions. She has over 20 years of experience defending private and public entities against bus, truck, auto, railway, premises, environmental, security, police and 42 U.S.C. § 1983 actions.
The discovery and prosecution of insurance fraud is an area of special interest for Ms. Rush. In connection therewith, she successfully spearheaded an action against a law firm to recoup $3,000,000 in ill begotten judgments and settlements.Ms. Rush has tried over 80 jury cases to verdict in New York, Kings, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk and Bronx Counties. She utilizes novel engineering, biomechanical and forensic principles together with creative demonstrative exhibits to successfully defend her clients.Ms. Rush's passion for trial work is well recognized among her peers. She is frequently called upon to lecture on issues pertaining to advanced trial practice, including Frye Hearings, Jury Selection, Cross-Examination and Summations.Ms. Rush is a member of the Defense Association of New York, the Metropolitan Women's Bar Association and the Catholic Lawyers Guild. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and son.
