John J. Komar, Esq.
Associate

John Komar is an associate of the firm. He received a B.A. degree in English from the State University of New York, College at Purchase in 1980 and an M.A. in American Literature from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1982.  He received his J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 1988.

Mr. Komar has primarily worked in the area of premises and automobile liability defense, handling appeals and trials of high exposure cases throughout the New York City and Hudson Valley regions.  His areas of experience also include the defense of elevator and construction liability cases and insurance coverage claims. Mr. Komar was previously associated with the Law Office of Alan Lamer, in house staff counsel to AIG.

In addition to his civil litigation experience, Mr. Komar has represented both lenders and borrowers in real estate purchases and mortgages and has represented private clients in the areas of wills, estate administration and other Surrogate’s Court matters.

Mr. Komar holds a rating of BV from Martindale Hubbell.
